Sunwear
Often used as a fashion statement, sunglasses are as important to the health of the eye as they are to the look. Protect your eyes all year long from damaging ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun, which can cause premature cataracts, macular degeneration and tissue growths on the eye. Sunglasses also protect the sensitive skin around your eyes against premature wrinkling. Whether you are spending your time in the sun, driving, fishing, golfing or snow skiing, a protective pair of sunglasses is essential. Choose from our vast variety of sunglasses from designers such as:
-Maui Jim
-Ray Ban
-Oakley
-Revo
-Columbia

Lens Options
CR 39 (Plastic): Lightweight, durable and impact resistant, it is a practical material that dyes and coats well.
Polycarbonate: A great choice for children and active adults, polycarbonate is virtually shatterproof and provides 100% ultraviolet protection. Thinner and lighter they are comfortable and attractive.
Trivex: This lens is a new plastic material that is serving as the new polycarbonate. It is optically superior providing crisp, clear vision and unsurpassed impact resistance. Trivex is noticeably thinner and lighter, easily tinted and provides 100 % ultraviolet protection.
High Index: These lenses are made of a denser material, bending more light through less thickness, resulting in an ultra-thin, lightweight pair of glasses. Geared toward individuals with high prescriptions, high index is available in varying degrees of thinness, fitting an individual's comfort and cosmetic satisfaction. Along with polycarbonate and trivex, high index provides durability, scratch resistance and ultraviolet protection.
Glass: Always serving as a durable, scratch resistant and optically clear lens, glass has its place in lens materials. The heaviness of the lens can be a deterrent to many glasses wearers.
Photochromatic: Also known as Transitions lenses, this material automatically changes from clear (indoors) to dark (outdoors) in just moments. They provide 100 % blockage of UVA and UVB radiation. They offer comfort and convenience all in one pair of glasses. They are available in almost every lens material and style.

The 3-D tracing technology and superior groove quality provides "pin-point" accuracy on high wrap frames. The LEX Edger's advanced features top the industry in quality. You can be assured that you lenses will be correct and look great!
Coating Options
Anti-Reflective: Also known as anti glare, it is an extremely thin coat that goes on both the front and backside of a lens. It allows more light transmission through the lens which reduces unwanted glare. This can provide much comfort from eye fatigue and improves clarity for those who suffer from reflection in daily situations such as frequent computer monitor use and difficulty with night time driving. This coating provides a durable front and back surface scratch resistance that is anti static. It is very popular among individuals working with the public as it causes the lenses to look almost invisible allowing people to see the wearers' eyes. Antireflective coat is highly recommended for high index lenses for these lenses reflect more light then lower density lenses.
Scratch Resistant Coating: This is a clear lens option that when added to standard plastic lenses will decrease the chances of scratches to the lens. This is also available in a double tough front and back surface lens coat.
Ultra Violet Coating: UV protection filters out the suns ultraviolet rays that are damaging to the eyes. Many types of lenses such as polycarbonate, trivex , high index and photochromatic already provide this protection within the lens material. You will also find this in polarized lenses. Using a UV protected lens or coating can decrease the cause of premature cataracts
Tinted Lenses: Most lenses can be tinted to any color which can help reduce glare and block light. Tint should be used in correlation with UV and scratch coats to optimize the lenses.
